OKTAGON Expands Its Global Reach
OKTAGON is taking selected major events to more than 150 markets through DAZN. The existing broadcast route for viewers in Germany remains unchanged.

OKTAGON is expanding its international distribution. A new partnership will take selected major events from the European MMA promotion to more than 150 markets through DAZN. The launch slate names OKTAGON 93 in Brno, the OKTAGON 94 stadium show in Frankfurt on September 26 and OKTAGON 100 in Prague on December 29.
For viewers in Germany, this is not a change of broadcaster. Germany, Austria and Switzerland are among the territories where existing rights agreements remain in place. RTL+ continues to carry OKTAGON events in the region. The new deal is primarily about markets where the promotion has had far less visibility.
Three major showcases
The partnership began with OKTAGON 93 on September 12. The next event specifically confirmed is OKTAGON 94 in Frankfurt. The promotion returns to Deutsche Bank Park after setting an MMA attendance record there in front of roughly 60,000 people in 2024. Christian Eckerlin faces David Kozma in the main event.
OKTAGON 100 at Prague's O2 Arena provides the next landmark in late December. The opening schedule therefore gives the partnership three clear stories: its launch in Brno, a football-stadium event in Frankfurt and the promotion's anniversary show in Prague. The initial announcement does not yet specify how many further cards will follow after that.
Germany stays with RTL+
The list of territories excluded from DAZN's coverage also includes core OKTAGON markets such as the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In this context, “excluded” is a rights term rather than a retreat from those regions. Existing local agreements are not being replaced by the global contract.
RTL+ currently lists OKTAGON 94, 95 and 96 and continues to advertise live coverage of every OKTAGON event. The route for German viewers therefore remains unchanged. CS.C also keeps the current options together on its live broadcast guide.
A wider stage for European MMA
The agreement does not change a single fight card, but it changes who can see it. Fighters previously known mainly in Central Europe gain a broader showcase on an established global combat-sports platform. A production on the scale of Frankfurt can now travel further than its regional success.
That matters in the competition between European promotions. Wider distribution can make athletes and events easier to market internationally. It may help OKTAGON with sponsors, recruitment and future host cities. Those are potential effects of the agreement, not outcomes that have already been proven.
Reach is not yet a breakthrough
Availability in more than 150 markets is a substantial number, but availability does not create an audience by itself. The real test is whether DAZN gives the events meaningful visibility and whether OKTAGON can build stories outside its home territories that last beyond a handful of major shows.
The agreement is best understood as the promotion's next growth step. OKTAGON is not replacing its strong local partners; it is adding an international window around them. The screen stays the same for German fans. The stage becomes larger for the promotion.
