Mike Perry has announced the creation of his own combat sports organization, Dirty Boxing Championship (DBC), just ahead of his fight with Jake Paul this Saturday (CS.C reported on this).
Dirty Boxing Championship aims to combine the intensity of MMA with the precision of traditional boxing. Fighters will use five-ounce gloves, offering a balance between power and protection. The matches will take place in an 18-foot competition ring, allowing strikes while opponents are down but without grappling, kicking, or submissions, focusing purely on striking for finishes.
Perry expressed his excitement about the new league, mentioning, "Me and my team have been working on this for quite some time. We're very close to being sanctioned by commissions and we're ready to get some athletes and put a fight on sometime this year."
DBC is committed to fair pay and showcasing top talent, promising a fresh take on combat sports for both fighters and fans.
