UFC 332 still has no confirmed main event, but the October 3, 2026 card at Delta Center in Salt Lake City now has a much clearer sporting shape. The UFC lists Deiveson Figueiredo vs Payton Talbott, Marvin Vettori vs Ismail Naurdiev, Ateba Gautier vs Roman Kopylov and Damian Pinas vs Andrey Pulyaev on the official event page. Independent U.S. reports also place Johnny Walker's heavyweight debut against Mick Parkin in the same wave of new matchups.

Figueiredo vs Talbott is the cleanest anchor of the news. It is not a title fight and not yet the headliner. Still, the pairing says a lot about the current bantamweight picture: a former champion from the smaller division against a young contender who has to turn prospect value into rankings substance.

Figueiredo's role is shifting

Figueiredo no longer enters these fights as an untouchable name. His reputation remains significant and his explosiveness is still dangerous, but at bantamweight he increasingly has to prove that experience is more than a selling point. Talbott tests exactly that. Can Figueiredo break the rhythm of a younger opponent without being dragged into long, risky stretches built only on toughness?

Talbott's job is the mirror image. Beating Figueiredo would not be a routine development fight; it would be a strong signal to the upper half of the division. Because Figueiredo's name still carries weight, a Talbott win would be hard to dismiss as prospect management. To get there, he needs more than pace and confidence. Against an experienced counterpuncher, patience, position and defensive responsibility after his own offense matter.

Naurdiev's demanding return

For German-speaking fans, Marvin Vettori vs Ismail Naurdiev is the second key fight. Naurdiev, raised in Salzburg and long connected to Austria's MMA scene, immediately gets an international measuring stick in the former title challenger. It is not a comfortable booking for Vettori either. He needs a win after a difficult run, but against a mobile and physically strong opponent, scraping through a messy decision would not answer much.

That makes the matchup more than a name against a returnee. Vettori has to show that his pressure still traps opponents rather than merely eating rounds. Naurdiev has to prove that his athletic package holds up against middleweights with top-15 experience. A loss would not erase either man, but the fight gives the UFC a clear read on whether either can be used as a serious middleweight piece in the short term.

Walker seeks a new weight

Johnny Walker's reported move to heavyweight is the card's most visible career pivot. At light heavyweight, his reach was long an advantage, but his defensive fragility was just as visible. At heavyweight, the weight cut and some of the physical strain disappear, while mistakes become even more expensive. Against Mick Parkin, Walker would not get a glamour opponent. He would get a test of order: chin, distance, clinch and patience.

The missing main event matters for context. These newly confirmed fights do not carry UFC 332 by themselves, but they give the show a useful sporting frame. Figueiredo vs Talbott sorts bantamweight future against former championship quality. Vettori vs Naurdiev tests two middleweights under pressure. Walker vs Parkin asks whether a spectacular light heavyweight can become more stable at the heavier limit.

A card built on tests

UFC 332, as it stands, is not a card sold by one major main event. It is a set of status checks. That is where its value lies. The UFC gets answers across three divisions before revealing the top of the bill. For fans, that is less dramatic than a title announcement, but it is still useful sport. Many of the fighters involved need to do more than win in Salt Lake City. They need to show what role they can realistically play in 2027.
